Scrapbook Layout for ...

A group of Mom's are getting together for a baby shower this weekend for our friend Joni who is expecting a little girl in May.  Since this is her 2nd little girl I decided to give her a scrapbook for Peyton Elizabeth.  The book is 8" x 8", and I will create several other layouts for her to just add photo, and let Joni create the rest on her own.

I'm using the sketch provided by Scrapbook & Cards for their 6th Birthday Celebration. Okay, here goes ...

Here's a close-up of the adorable zebra from the Zoo Crew stamps set from Paper Smooches.

I added Peyton's name to the page using Hopscotch Alphabet Stickers from Studio Grey.

Not a lot of pink on this layout since it's not one of Joni's favorite colors!  I did sneak a little in there though. Can't have a baby girl album without pink.

Here is the sketch that was provided for us to work with ...

For someone who doesn't normally create layouts I really enjoyed putting this together. Hmmm ... maybe I will work on the kids albums this Summer.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Card No. 2 coming your way!

This card was created for ...

I normally combine only two (2) challenges, but once I completed my card for TCM & CR84FN I noticed that my design fit the For Fun Challenges challenge.  So here goes ...
I pulled out Sew Nice from Avocado Arts, stamped the stitched flower on three different shades of pink, embossed it with White Embossing Powder, and then fussy cut the flowers to create the layers.  The vine and sentiment are from Wishes & Kind Thoughts from Avocado Arts, stamped it on the Lemon Bliss cardstock from Bazzill, and embossed it with White Embossing Powder.  Final step was to layer all the pieces on my card, cut the tag, and add the buttons.

Here is a closer look at the flower ...

Now for the inspiration photos ...

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Other Products Used ... Scrap Cardstock from Bazzill, Mariposa & The Cafe' Mediterranean Matstacks from DCWV, Inkssentials Watermark Resist Ink, Stampendous White Embossing Powder, Pink Simplicity Buttons, Fiskars Scissors, EKS Arch Scallop Punch, A Muse Studio 3D Foam Adhesive, and my trusty ATG.

Happy Birthday from the Heart ...

Today I have three projects to share, two cards and one layout. Did I say layout? Yes! Come back later to check it out!

My first card was created for The Craft's Meow Birthday Color Challenge using The Paper Players Sketch #88.

Once again I printed up the Grateful Flowers, colored them with my Pastel Pencils from Faber-Castell that arrived in the mail today, and fussy cut them.  This time I also printed up the Birthday Heart Digital Stamp and punched it out with my EKS Real Estate Sign.  The window was created with a Cheery Lynn Designs A2 Lattice Frame Die which I cut down to create the window.  Grafix Clear Craft Plastic was placed behind the window before attaching to my card.   Next up was to create the border along the bottom with EKS PSN E Plaid Punch, which I cut down to only have one layer of holes, and then the ribbon and twine were added along with the bow.  Final step was to add the pearls along the bottom.

Now for the inspirational photos ...

As you can see I flipped the sketch for my design.  I am submitting this card to Simon Says ... Anything Goes Challenge.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

The Digital Stamps were provided by The Craft's Meow, Straw Weave & Marine Weave from AC Cardstock, Admiral from Bazzill, Ribbon from May Arts (giveaway), Peapod Twine from The Twinery, Pearl Stickers from Recollections, Fiskars Scissors & Fingertip Blade, Ruler, A Muse Studio 3D Foam Adhesive, Mini & Micro Glue Dots, and my trusty ATG.

Have a Joyous Easter ...

Katie loved seeing the children's program of "Joseph" today.  She loved all the music and was dancing in her seat.  So fun to see!

Now onto my card!  I just found a new weekly sketch challenge called Retro Sketches and this is their 4th Challenge.  I combined the sketch with a couple other challenges ... we have Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge and Our Craft Lounge Challenge #110 ~ All things Spring.

I pulled out my Spring Fling stamp set from Paper Smooches, inked up the bunny and colored her with my Copic Markers.  The May Arts Mesh Ribbon was part of a some candy I got from OCL that arrived on Monday. YUM!!  It looks so nice against the dark orange cardstock from DCWV Mariposa matstack, and is a perfect match for A Muse Studio Grass Petite Polka Dots Cardstock.

Now for the inspirational photos ...

I'll be sending this out to one of my girlfriend.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Other Products Used ... Neenah Solar White & Bazzill Basics Fun Orange Cardstock, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Spellbinders Large Octagons (S4-185), Scissors, 3D Foam Squares, and my trusty ATG.

I used "Owl Be Thinking of You" stamp set from TCM.  I added the Sizzlits Happy Birthday #3 Phrase to the inside of my card, as shown below.

Inspirational photos ...

I combined the colors and stripes from TCM's photo with the Midnight Madness Monthly Sketch for March.  There are two versions of the sketch, CAS & Fancy.  I sorta went in between for my card.

I'm also submitting this design to Crazy 4 Challenge #129 ~ Owls.

Heading out for an early lunch and to see "Joseph" the musical with Katie and some friends, but I'll be back later to share the Easter Card I created.

Happy Birthday to you!

I had fun creating this card today.  I thought this weeks Sketch for Chick Challenge #23 would be a real challenge until I opened my Unity March Kit of the Month (from head to soul).  Combine the sketch with the current CAS-ual Friday's Challenge #45 called The Bold & The Beautiful ... to use pastels and black.  I believe I have a winner!

I moved the tag to this inside for this photo to show how I will be putting a Gift Card inside for the birthday girl.

Now for the sketch ...

I really LOVE how this turned out.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Other products used ... Raven & Razzleberry Light Bazzill cardstock, A Muse Studio Bubblegum Ink, Pink Scrunchy Ribbon I recently won from Mariana Grisby, American Craft Clear Embossing Powder, Embossing Gun, Fiskars Scissors & Fingertip Blade, Ruler, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, EKS Vertical Slot Punch, Glue Dots - Mini, Craft & Pop Up, and my trusty ATG.

Spa Visit anyone!

After being sick for over 2-wks I sure could use a spa visit for a Pedi.  That is where my thoughts were last week when I saw this lovely image called "Pedi Party" that was provided by Sassy Studio Designs over at Paper Craft Planet's SSD Friday Challenge.  I just knew I had to create a card for the current challenge over at PCP to use a sponging technique.  I don't have sponges so I used my daubers to change the color of the tub, the bubbles, and added some color to the roses and wall paper.

Now for the rest of the image.  I decided to do some paper piecing for the Sassy Studio Design "Dare to be Sassy Thursday" Challenge #117.  I've done paper piecing with Sassy images before, but this one was a real humdinger.  I used Copic Markers for the skin and hair, and patterned paper for the chair, robe, and towel around her head.  I added some color with Copic Markers to her robe and towel.  She's sporting a bit of a bruise, or birthmark, on her leg from the ink on my fingers. LOL

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Bazzill Juneberry, Neenah Solar White, Lily Bee Design Picket Fence, and some DP I recived as part of a giveaway, Spica Clear Pen, Tumbled Glass - Worn Lipstick - Gathered Twigs Distress Ink from Tim Holtz, Bling from Want 2 Scrap, Floral Embellishments from Recollections, Sentiment from SRM #51006 Thinking of You Stickers, Printer, Fiskars Scissors & Fingertip Blade, Daubers, Craft Glue Dots, 3D Foam Tape, and my trusty ATG.

Sendy happy thoughts ...

Popping in for a quick post.  It's pretty late but I wanted to share the card I created today for The Craft's Meow Inspiration Challenge.  I used the Grateful Flowers created by Karen Baker again.  I flipped the image so that I could have flowers facing both directions.

I colored the flowers and basket with my Copic Markers, and then proceeded to do a LOT of fussy cutting.  Here is a side view to show how the flowers are popped up.  You can see the shadows behind them.
The Basket is a Digital Stamp from Shelly's Images that I got from CDAC that I thought were perfect for putting those lovely flowers inside.  The sentiment is from SRM Thinking of You Sticker Sentiments (#51006).

Here is the inspirational photo provided by The Craft's Meow for this challenge.

I pulled the purples from the flowers, the brown from the stool and rafters, the green from all the lovely greenery, and the yellow from the tulips in the back left hand corner.

I'm also submitting this card to the CDAC Progressive Challenge #14.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Other products Used ... Neenah Solar White, Bazzill Cream, and Basic Grey Out of Print cardstock, my Printer, Fiskars Scissors & Fingertip Blade, 3D Foam Tape, and my trusty ATG.

TE Monthly Calendar Challenge Part II & III

Hello.  Today I am sharing the 2013 Calendar Pages I created for TE Monthly Calendar Challenge ~ January and TE Monthly Calendar Challenge ~ March.  The first Calendar I created was for the month of February which you can see here.

I finished these back on the 14th but have been under the weather and not really feeling up to doing much.  I'm very happy to be feeling almost normal. LOL!! So without further ado here is January ...

The stamps used for this month are from Paper Smooches "Metropolis" stamp set.  I was going for fireworks in the sky to celebrate the New Year!  The buildings were colored with my Copic Markers, and the fireworks were created with various Memento Dew Drops.  I really LOVE how this month turned out.  The calendar was attached to A Muse Studio Navy cardstock, and Denim Twine from The Twinery was attached with Tim Holtz' Tiny Attacher.

Now for March ...

The stamps for this month are from Unity's February 2012 Kit of the Month "Lucky to Have You", and the circle is from Avocado Arts "Bring on the Holiday Cheer" stamp set.  As you can see I was thinking St. Patrick's Day when I created this months calendar.  Once I stamped my images with Memento Cottage Ivy I colored the shamrocks in with Copic Markers, and used a Green Spica Pen on the Celtic rings.  The calendar was attached to A Muse Studio Gingham Grass cardstock, and Peapod Twine from The Twinery was added with Tim Holtz' Tiny Attacher.

I already know what I will be creating for April.  I recently purchased, and received, a couple of items from TE's New Release this month.

I'm having fun with this challenge!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Other Products Used ... TE 2013 6x6 Dated Calendar (Digital Download Version), my printer, trimmer, and trusty ATG.

Sweet Kind Nice Wonderful ...

This is my second post for the day.

After revieweing all of the challenges going on yesterday, I decided to combine three challenges for my second card!

I combined the sketch from Chick Challenge #22, the colors from Just Us Girls Challenge 128, and the sketch allowed me to use buttons and keep my card CAS for The Paper Players Challenge #87.

I pulled out my January 2012 Unity Kit of the Month Heart & Soul! After stamping the flowers I fussy cut one, added the buttons, and then popped the flower on with Glue Dots and curled the edges.  I stamped the zig-zag along the top then added some Honeydew Twine from The Twinery along the center of the design, attached the scentiment and button in the corner.
Close up of the curled flower.
Now for the inspirational photos I used to create this card ...

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Other products used ... Bazill Pear & Neenah Cream Cardstock, A Muse Studio Bubblegum & Lichen Pigment Ink, Simplicity Buttons, Post-its, Fiskars Scissors & Fingertip Blade, Creative Memories Corner Round Punch, and my trusty ATG.

Truly Grateful ...

Today I have several projects to share with you.

First up is my card for The Craft's Meow Birthday Bash Sketch using the lovely FREE Grateful Flower Digital Stamp provided by The Craft's Meow on their Facebook Welcome Page.  This images was designed by Karen Baker herself.

The flowers were colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut, making sure I left enough room around the sentiment to create the banner.  I decided to use CAS-ual Friday's Challenge #44 ~ It's as easy as 1-2-3 theme to create my design.

Here is the Birthday Sketch that TCM provided for us to work with ...

Happy Birthday to The Craft's Meow!  If you haven't "Liked" them on FB yet, head on over and then you can get this lovely images for FREE.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Other products used ... Neenah Solar White, Bazzill Intense Pink Admiral, and DCWV The Mademoiselle Stack Cardstock, My Printer, Fiskars Scissors & Fingertip Blade, Glue Dots ~ Mini & Pop Up, and my trusty ATG.

{Thinking of you!}

This fun card was created for
Dates:  March 15th thru April 1st
Theme:  Baskets or Bunnies?

I've had all these images colored in since last Friday, but haven't really felt well enough to put everything together because I've been sick. Finally went to the doctor and found out I have a bacterial infection, and got some DRUGS. Second day of taking them and I'm feeling sooo much better now. YIPEE!!  Now back to the details about my card. ;o)

I decided to use both images for the current theme.  The awesome Basket was provided by Shelly's Images and the Girl Bunny was provided by Stamping Dragon Designs for FREE for the current challenge!  Both were colored with my Copic Markers and fussy cut.  I felt something more was needed so I added some Spring Tulips from Taylored Expressions into the mix.  I cut an opening in the basket along the front inside rim and along the basket handle.  Once the Tulips were colored I tucked them inside the opening, layered all my pieces together, and tied some Denim Twine from The Twinery at the top of the handle.  The sentiment on the inside is from SRM Stickers Sentiments pack!

Now, there are many awesomeal projects provided by the Design Team to inspire you to join our FUN challenge!  Head on over to CDAC for all the details on how you can JOIN IN THE FUN!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Big Sister Brag Book ...

A group of us are having a Baby Shower for our friend, and I know she'll be bringing her daughter along.  So I used the adorable Girl provided by LiaStampz for the current CDAC Challenge #13 to create a "Big Sister Brag Book" for her daughter.

The challenge ends tonight but you can still join in the fun.  Head on over to CDAC for all the details.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Luck of the Irish ...

This is my 2nd post for today.  I'm playing a little catch up in posting my designs.  I created this card on Saturday when I felt my head cold was on it's way out the door.  Over confident on my part, it hit me hard again on Sunday and now the allergies have joined in the fun! Yikes!

Okay, enough about that. LOL.  Here is my card for Sassy Studio Designs Fabulous Freebie Friday Challenge over at Paper Craft Planet.

This lovely image called Lucy Leprechaun was colored with Copic Markers.  The gold in the pot was colored with a Creative Memories Gold Pen, Gold PITT Artist Pen, and a Clear Spica Pen to give it some sparkle.

I picked up this new EKS Plaid Punch and thought it would work with my design.  I threaded some Peapod Twine thru the punch, added some green buttons from Simplicity, and my lucky 4-leaf clover is a Bead Landing Charm.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Spring has Spring ...

I don't know about everywhere else around the country but we've had some awesome weather here in Illinois.  New Record High today of 83! I know my post title says Spring, but we really had a gorgeous day today and that is what inspired me to create today's card.

This is my last minute submission for CAS-ual Friday's Challenge #43 ... For Sentimental Reasons.

A while back I found some SRM Stickers, and this sentiment is from the April Monthly Memories set.  I colored in the letters with a Copic Marker G08 and applied the color around the edges.  The tulip is from Taylored Expressions Spring Tulips stamp set which was colored with Copic Markers, and I added a strip of A Muse Studio Washi Tape along the bottom from the Winter Collection.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Happy Mother's Day ...

I just received the new stamp set called "Papillon" from A Muse Studio that I think is perfect for creating Mother's Day Cards, or just about any type of card!  I enjoyed creating my card for the current sketch from JUGS Challenge #126.

After stamping the butterflies on my cardstock, I stamped a couple extra.  I fussy cut the extras, and layered them over the top and bottom butterfly with mini glue dots and 3D foam.

I watched a video from Core'dinations How-to Hard Core Crafter over the weekend and saw this cool technique for creating the 3D flag I added to my card.

It has been ages since I've participated in a JUGS challenge, and I'm so happy I had the time to create something for this weeks sketch challenge.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Other Products Used ... A Muse Studio Buttercup, Orange & Sugar Cardstock, Memento Tuxedo Black, Black Copic Multi-liner BS, and A Muse Studio Orange Pigment Ink, Paper Studio's Tiny Orange Brads, Fiskars Scissors & Fingertip Blade, Dauber, McGill 1/8" Punch, ATG

Happy Easter ...

It's hard to believe that Easter is only a couple of weeks away.  That being the case, I decided to go in that direction for my card for the current challenge at Freshly Made Sketch #24.

I love this bunny rabbit cruising along in his carrot car!  He is part of the Bunny Business stamp set from A Muse Studio.  I colored him in with Copic Markers and I used a White Gelly Roll Pen on the scarf to duplicate the cardstock.

Here is the sketch.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Other products used ... A Muse Studio Ocean, Vanilla & Buttercup Petite Polka Dots cardstock, A Muse Studio 5/8" Orange Grosgrain Ribbon, Creative Memories Corner Round Punch, ATG, and 3D Foam Squares
